EyeMed fined $600k over a data breach after investigation finds security flaws

Ohio-based healthcare provider EyeMed Vision Care, which provides vision benefits for a number of health insurance companies, has been slapped with a $600k fine over a data breach, which exposed the healthcare records of 2.1M patients across the US in June 2020.
