Atlas Menu, a popular cheat platform used by Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) players, has suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of nearly 64,000 users.
According to data breach notification service Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), the compromised data includes email addresses, usernames, encrypted passwords, IP addresses, and customer support tickets. The incident has potentially exposed thousands of users who registered with the platform to gain advantages in GTA V’s online gameplay.
The breach is particularly notable because Atlas Menu promoted itself as a secure service, claiming to provide “secure authentication and enhanced privacy through our advanced encryption techniques.” At the time of writing, the Atlas Menu website was inaccessible.
Reports indicate that the individual claiming responsibility for the attack published the stolen database on GitHub. The breach does not appear to have been aimed specifically at the gaming community. Instead, reports suggest the attack may have been motivated by a personal dispute involving an alleged scammer.
Atlas Menu’s operators could not be reached for comment, and it remains unclear when the company first became aware of the breach or whether affected users have been notified.
Atlas Menu was widely known within the GTA V community for offering cheats that provided players with unfair in-game advantages. Features advertised by the service included invisibility, super-jump capabilities, and the ability to fly across the game map.
Atlas Menu is not the first cheat provider to experience a security incident. Several cheat services targeting other popular multiplayer games, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, have reportedly suffered breaches in the past.
Users who registered with Atlas Menu are advised to change any passwords reused on other platforms and monitor their accounts for suspicious activity.
