Specops Software’s 2025 Breached Password Report uncovers shocking trends from over one billion stolen credentials.

 

Despite password complexity rules, 230 million compromised passwords still met standard requirements, proof that complexity isn’t enough. The report warns that password reuse and predictable patterns are fuelling cyber-attacks. Topping the list: “123456”, “admin” and “password”.
