Check Point’s Cyber Security Report 2026 shows that cyber-attacks are becoming faster, more automated and highly co-ordinated across enterprise environments.
AI is now embedded throughout the attack chain, with 90 per cent of organisations encountering risky AI prompts and vulnerabilities found in 40 per cent of AI infrastructure servers. Ransomware has fragmented into smaller, AI-supported groups, increasing victim numbers and reducing predictability.
Hybrid IT environments are expanding attack surfaces, while cyber-operations increasingly support geopolitical conflict. Social engineering now spans email, web, phone and collaboration tools. Overall attacks have risen by 18 per cent year-over-year, averaging 1,968 attempts weekly, highlighting the urgent need for integrated, proactive security strategies.
