Phil has advised global financial services organisations and national regulators on cyber resilience and cyber security and was until recently the Group Head of Information Risk and Security at the Prudential.
He was a member of the CRO Forum Cyber Risk Working group, the CMORG Cyber Coordination Group and CMORG CIO Forum. He has also been a private sector representative on multiple occasions to the Financial Stability Board on cyber security regulations.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS CITP) and also the current Security and Privacy Chair of the BCS.
He is a member of the London South BCS branch committee. He was a Registered Security Specialist on the BCS Professional Advice Register and achieved a distinction in the ISEB Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP).
He was a member of the CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS) from 2008 to 2013.
He is one of the founders of the Unconvention, an invite-only UK technical security conference and has run the Infosec track of the 44con conference. He is a member of the Advisory Panels for both Black Hat Europe Executive Summit and InfoSecurity Europe.
