Ben is the Chief Information Security Officer at Sage, the UK’s largest technology company and the world’s leading provider of integrated accounting, payroll and payments systems to entrepreneurs and small and medium businesses.
He has conceived and implemented security transformation at scale, in both public and private sectors. He has led and delivered under the most demanding circumstances in UK national security.
As the functional leader for Sage‚Äôs global information and cyber security organisation, He is accountable for the design and execution of the Group’s security strategy. He has overall responsibility for the security of Sage’s global technology estate and customer-facing products and services. This includes market-leading cloud products for Europe, the Americas and AMEA, built on the AWS, Azure and Force.com platforms.
He is responsible for Sage’s global ISO27001 compliance programme, PCI-DSS compliance for Sage‚Äôs eCommerce and face-to-face online payments businesses and the information security workstreams within Sage‚Äôs global GDPR compliance and wider data privacy programmes.
As a Senior Civil Servant in UK Government he had overall responsibility for all aspects of government security policy and coordination, including cyber and information security, counterespionage, insider threat and vetting, physical security and counterterrorism.
