RXNT begins notifying healthcare clients after patient data breach exposes records across multiple organizations

Networking Technology, Inc., which operates as RXNT, has started notifying healthcare organizations about a data breach involving unauthorized access to one of its electronic health record platforms between March 1 and March 3, 2026. The Maryland-based healthcare software technology company confirmed that patient information stored within the affected system was copied during the intrusion, impacting multiple provider organizations that use its software.

RXNT identified unauthorized activity within the affected solution and launched an investigation with assistance from third-party cybersecurity specialists. The company completed a review of the compromised data on April 17, 2026, and has since informed affected customers about the scope of exposure tied to their individual systems.

The compromised information includes patient names, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, patient identification numbers, and other demographic data stored within the platform. RXNT has notified each affected healthcare organization about the number of patients impacted within its environment, although the total number of affected individuals has not yet been publicly disclosed.

Notification letters dated May 1, 2026, were sent to affected healthcare providers with instructions to register for additional incident information through a dedicated website established for the response effort. Providers have until May 15, 2026, to enroll through the notification portal.

RXNT stated that it is implementing additional security measures designed to prevent similar incidents in the future. The company also offered to manage regulatory breach notification obligations on behalf of affected clients, including notifications to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, patient notification requirements, media disclosures, and notifications to state attorneys general where required.

The breach affects healthcare providers using RXNT’s electronic health record software and patients whose records were stored within the compromised environment. Multiple client organizations have confirmed exposure, indicating a large-scale incident affecting healthcare data across several providers.
