Endue Software agrees to $870,000 settlement over February 2025 data breach

Endue Software, a technology firm providing software services to the healthcare, insurance, and financial industries, has agreed to pay $870,000 to settle a class action lawsuit stemming from a data breach that occurred in February 2025. The company has not admitted any wrongdoing as part of the agreement.

The lawsuit alleged that Endue Software failed to adequately protect consumer information and that reasonable cybersecurity measures could have prevented the breach. The settlement covers U.S. residents whose private information may have been compromised in the incident.

Eligible class members have two avenues for compensation. Those who experienced documented financial losses directly attributable to the breach may claim up to $2,500 in reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses, including identity theft remediation, fraud-related costs, credit fees, and identification replacement. Supporting documentation such as bank statements, credit reports, and receipts is required to substantiate these claims.

Class members who did not incur documented losses are eligible for a one-time flat payment of $65. A dedicated fund of $260,000 has been allocated for these payments, which will be distributed on a pro rata basis. The actual payment amount may vary depending on the total number of valid claims submitted.

All class members, regardless of whether they file for cash compensation, are entitled to two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services under the terms of the settlement.

The deadline to submit a claim form, request exclusion from the settlement, or file an objection is June 30, 2026. A final approval hearing is scheduled for July 15, 2026. Class members must file a valid claim by the June 30 deadline to receive any settlement benefits.
