Director – Cyber Security
James Hatch is Director of Cyber Services at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. He leads BAE Systems advisory and technical services in cyber security across Europe. This business covers all industry sectors but with a particularly strong presence in financial services, telecommunications, energy and central government. The services provided cover security strategy, assessment, improvement and integration.
As well as his advisory work, James has direct experience of information security management in financial services and central government. He has also led major business change projects in technology heavy domains including setting up the Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt, re-engineering the management information of a major mortgage lender and modernising a state-owned financial services business.
James also leads BAE Systems’ The Intelligence Network. The Intelligence Network was launched in July 2018 to address the lack of collaboration between companies in tackling cyber crime, as criminals begin to develop similar capabilities to hostile nation states. It followed a government announcement in April 2018 that criminals were launching more online attacks against British businesses than ever before, and called for more collaboration to thwart this. The Intelligence Network will be spearheaded by senior figures from organisations which produce hundreds of billions of dollars of revenue and are being threatened by cyber attacks.
