Including machine learning in your business: Matei Zaharia on the problems you might face

"Everyone who has tried to do machine learning knows it's complex."

The Register met Matei Zaharia, co-founder and chief technologist of Databricks, and talked with him about the importance and difficulties companies have to face when applying machine learning to their businesses.

According to Zaharia, the challenge lies in communication between the different people involved in the process, as well as in the various tools that need to be supported. Furthermore, he stresses that it takes a lot of time and nerves to change internal processes and patch bugs and errors that may come up.
