How a North Korean hacking group has been stealing money from ATMs

The North Korean APT hacking group, Hidden Cobra, which is believed to be working for the North Korean government has been hacking ATMs since early 2016 as the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) has reported recently.

According to The Hacker News the group used a new cyber attack called “FASTCash” compromising switch application servers within the targeted banks to cash them out.
Switch Application Servers are essential links in the communication chain of transactions that confirm bank account details for requested transactions.
