Protecting Revenue and Operations from OT Cyber Risk

The resilience challenge facing UK organisations
OT cyber-risk is now a board-level business issue. Fortinet’s 2026 research found that 46 per cent of affected organisations experienced an operational outage that impacted revenue, while 44 per cent lost business-critical data. For executives, the question is no longer whether cyber-activity can disrupt operations, but whether the organisation can contain the safety and reputational consequences.
Yet many organisations lack visibility of their OT assets, the vulnerabilities attached to them and the resulting risk. Maturity varies widely: some are still identifying assets, while others are refining established controls. IT/OT convergence, supply chain dependencies and third-party access compound exposure, as the evolving threat landscape brings nation-state threats to critical national infrastructure into sharper focus.
C-level leaders therefore face choices about risk appetite, investment and accountability, with CISOs increasingly taking ownership across IT and OT. The priority is to align people, process and technology: assess gaps, prioritise action and combine professional and managed services with appropriate controls. Success means protecting revenue, safety and operational resilience while meeting regulatory requirements and aligning with standards such as IEC 62443.
Join your peers to examine OT cyber-risk and the decisions required to protect revenue, safety and operational resilience. Share perspectives on governance, investment and preparedness and explore how AI is accelerating these critical discussions

The questions we will explore
- How can organisations gain meaningful visibility of OT assets, vulnerabilities and dependencies, and understand the potential impact on revenue, safety and operational resilience?
- With competing priorities and finite budgets, where should organisations focus investment to achieve the greatest reduction in OT cyber-risk?
- As IT and OT environments continue to converge, how should accountability for cyber-risk be shared between security, operations, engineering and the board?
- What does good operational resilience look like in practice, and how can organisations align people, process and technology to support security and regulatory compliance?
- How can organisations better manage cyber-risk across increasingly complex supply chains, third parties and critical infrastructure ecosystems?
