The American view: Two survival guides for dysfunctional workplaces

My pals over at PR By the Book keep a sharp eye out for new leadership books that I might like. Their recommendations are usually spot-on, like this month’s suggestion of a new book by fellow American Eric Charran. I’d never heard of him, but that’s hardly a surprise. Charran’s a former executive; one of those Chief [Variable] Officers with a corner office and a seat at the boardroom table… Something I’m most assuredly not. Even if we’d been in the same company (which we never were), we’d probably never have crossed paths. I’m judging him solely by his writing which I trust will minimize my potential biases.
