Does Brexit mean that UL organisations won’t have to comply with GDPR?

Edward Lucas from The Economist, author of Cyber phobia, explains that the GDPR is an excellent template for data protection and one that British people will respond to positively. As a result the UK government is highly likely to maintain a version of the GDPR after Brexit.

But more important perhaps is the fact that any UK organization wanting to do business with consumers based anywhere within the European Union will be subject to the cyber security and data protection requirements that the GDPR imposes.
